The show is based on the official reports drafted during the intense interrogations of young Bernadette regarding her fascinating Marian apparitions. The audience is transported to 19th-century Lourdes, with a historically accurate reconstruction of both the scenery and costumes.
It is the story of her struggle to defend the truth against skeptical adults and her tormented family. Directed by Serge Denoncourt, with scenography by Stéphane Roy.
Music by Grégoire, lyrics by Lionel Florence and Patrice Guirao, and arrangements by Scott Price, Céline Dion’s musical director. Italian adaptation by Vincenzo Incenzo.
