The hall take its name from five frescoes represent some episodes from the life of King Solomon. In the corners of the room there are the heraldic coats of arms of Pope Sixtus V, which include three mountains with three crowns, a star and crossed keys.
In the room is located the bust of Pope Pius IX Mastai Ferretti. There are also two large eighteenth-century tapestries in wool, silk, gold and gilded silver, both from the Gobelins Manufacture. The ceiling of this room was rebuilt in the 19th century according to the design of the architect Poletti.
In the center of the room, there is an oil on canvas representing Pius IX's visit to the Crypt of Santa Cecilia in the Catacombs of San Callisto, which took place in 1854. Next to this commemorative work, there is a portrait of Pius IX.
